We took out the tile and the old floors, prepped the slab flat and glued down 2,700 sq ft of wide-plank hardwood with MAPEI Ultrabond ECO 995: bedrooms, halls, kitchen, dining and living room. Monday to Saturday, with the furniture back in place.
The old floors came out down to the slab. The shower and the tub walls were built on cement board with liquid waterproofing. Then marble-look porcelain went on both floors and the shower walls, with white tile around the tub.
The kitchen got new countertops, a new backsplash, new cabinets installed, the existing cabinets painted and a wall opened up. In the same home, new LVP went into the master bedroom and pavers went down in the backyard.
In two homes nearby, the carpet came off the floors and the stairs. LVP went down through the living areas, the halls and the bedrooms, and every step got an LVP tread to match the new floor.
The carpet and the old ceramic tile came out, and LVP went down in their place. At the fireplace, a new porcelain hearth went in.
